Fees and Taxes
For bookings made directly with us, we collect the Provincial Sales Tax (8%) and the Regional District Tax (3%).
We do not charge cleaning fees or add hidden fees.
For bookings made through a third party, e.g. VRBO, they collect applicable taxes and may apply their own agency fees.

Reservations/Cancellations for stays of 6 nights or less
Our standard deposit is one half the stay i.e. 50%.
Deposits are refundable for cancellations up to 14 days before the arrival date.
Note: In all cases there is a $30 handling fee for processing cancellations.
Within 14 days, deposits are refundable to the extent that the suite can be re-booked.
Deposits are applied to the total amount of the stay. The balance is due on arrival.

Reservations/Cancellations for stays 1 week or longer
Our standard deposit is one half the stay i.e. 50%.
Deposits are refundable for cancellations up to 60 days before the arrival date.

Payment Methods for Reservations
For deposits, we accept personal cheques for most major currencies, if received well before arrival.
We also accept certified cheques, traveler's cheques, money orders, bank drafts, e-Transfer and PayPal.
We do not accept credit card payments.

Check-in Time is 3:30pm or Later
Check-in time is 3:30pm or later so that we have time to prepare the suite.
If you would like to check in earlier please let us know so that we can work out an arrangement that meets everyone's needs.

No Smoking
We are a 100% smoke-free environment inside the house.

Not Suitable for Children Under 12 Years of Age
We love kids. But the suite contains breakable objects, things that can fall and hurt a curious child and things that can be damaged.
There are "interesting" buttons for controlling the gas fireplace and gas stove. And there are assorted sharp things in kitchen drawers.
The suite is not child safe. Thus we do not recommend the suite for families with children under 12 years of age.

Not Suitable for Pets
The suite is not suitable for pets and animals.

Housekeeping Arrangement
a) For Bed & Breakfast Guests
We will enter your suite daily to restock the fridge. Otherwise housekeeping is the same as in b) below.
 
b) For Vacation Rental Guests
We collect garbage and provide fresh towels/linens as needed.

No Excessive Alcohol
We ask that you do not consume excessive alcohol while being a guest in our home.

Overnight Visitors
Please kindly check with your hosts if you wish to have unregistered overnight visitors.

Minimum Length of Stay
We maintain an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. This involves many hours of cleaning between guests.
Consequently it has not proven cost effective to rent the suite for very short stays.
We realize this does not work for all guests. We do hope you understand.
